Construction machinery trailers (also known as low-loaders or machinery transporters) are specialised trailers designed for the road transport of construction machinery such as excavators, wheel loaders, rollers and forklifts. They are characterised by a low loading platform, robust ramps and high payloads.

Variants include 3-axle and 4-axle low-loaders for payloads of 15–40 tonnes, low-loaders with a particularly low loading height for building construction transport, extendable low-loaders for oversized loads, flatbed trailers for smaller construction machinery, and trailers with high-sided loading areas for rubble transport.

Common manufacturers include Goldhofer, Faymonville, Doll, Müller-Mitteltal, Humbaur, Kel-Berg, HKM, Kögel and Krone.

Construction machinery trailers are used by haulage contractors, rental companies and construction firms for transporting their own machinery, in the heavy haulage industry, by gardening and landscaping firms, and by forestry companies for transporting machinery.
