Glass processing & ceramic processing

Glass and ceramics processing encompasses machinery for cutting, grinding, polishing and drilling flat glass, container glass and ceramic materials. Key areas include glass cutters (manual and CNC-controlled tables for float and laminated glass) as well as CNC glass processing for complex contours and drill holes.

For edge processing, glass grinding machines (straight-edge grinders, bevelling grinders, vertical double-sided grinders) are used. Glass washing systems clean cut glass pieces prior to further processing such as coating or lamination. In the ceramics sector, ceramic presses are used to shape tiles, sanitaryware and tableware.

Leading manufacturers include Bottero, LiSEC, Glaston, CMS, Bystronic Glass, Forel, Intermac, SACMI and System Ceramics.

This group of machines is used in glazing workshops, window and façade construction, insulating glass production, glass arts and crafts, and in the industrial ceramic production of tiles, sanitaryware and technical ceramics.
