Electric forklift trucks are battery-powered industrial trucks with zero local emissions, ideal for use in warehouses, the food and pharmaceutical sectors, and increasingly in outdoor environments as well. Modern lithium-ion batteries significantly extend operating times and service life.
Variants include compact 3-wheel electric forklifts, standard 4-wheel models (1.5–5 t), heavy-duty electric forklifts (up to 10 t and above), AGV/AMR forklifts for autonomous logistics, and special models for cold stores, cleanrooms or explosion-proof environments.
Common manufacturers include Linde, Still, Toyota, Jungheinrich, Crown, Hyster, Yale, BT, Mitsubishi Forklift and Combilift.
Electric forklifts are used in the food and pharmaceutical industries (HACCP-compliant), in warehousing and e-commerce logistics, in retail, in production environments with high cleanliness requirements, in cold stores and, increasingly, outdoors thanks to modern batteries.
