Transporter & LKW bis 7,5t

Vans and lorries up to 7.5 tonnes fall into the category of light commercial vehicles, which may be driven with a Category B driving licence (car licence). They are the standard vehicles for tradespeople, delivery services and small-scale logistics.

The main body types are panel vans and flatbed vans (3.0–3.5 t gross vehicle weight, up to 5.9 m internal length), high-roofed large-capacity vans (4.2–7.5 t GVW), tarpaulin-covered flatbeds for tradespeople, refrigerated vehicles for food delivery services, glass trailer bodies, double-cab models and campervans based on vans.

Common manufacturers include the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, VW Crafter, Ford Transit, Iveco Daily, Renault Master, Peugeot Boxer, Citroën Jumper, Fiat Ducato, Opel Movano and MAN TGE.

Vans are used in the trades (electricians, plumbers, carpenters), by courier and express services, in food delivery, for furniture transport, in construction logistics (material transport), for breakdown assistance and towing, and in the motorhome sector.
