The GEO Air Rocket is a trenchless pneumatic drilling system (Air Rocket) specifically designed for the underground installation of utility connections—such as power cables, water lines, gas lines, conduit, fiber optics (FTTx), etc. The ground is not torn up; only small launch and landing pits are required.
Is a compressor really essential—and why this one in particular?
Yes, absolutely. The Erdrakete operates exclusively with compressed air. The Atlas Copco XAS 38-7 delivers exactly the right specifications: 7 bar working pressure and 2,000 liters per minute (2 m³/min). With lower pressure or flow rate, the device will not function reliably or at all. Smaller compressors are usually insufficient.
What diameters can I install with this set?
With this set (Ø 65 mm ground rocket + XAS 38-7 compressor), you can pull pipes and cables with diameters ranging from approx. 48 mm to 130 mm without digging. The drilling diameter of the rocket itself is 65 mm.
How important is the oil reservoir, and what happens if you forget to use it?
Very important. The oil reservoir (1.3 liters) ensures that the moving parts of the ground rocket are continuously lubricated. Without sufficient oil, the device runs dry → extreme wear, overheating, and in the worst case, total failure. Always check and refill before every use!
How far can you drill with the earth rocket?
In normal soil conditions and with proper operation, distances of 15 m are realistic. Under optimal conditions (sandy-loamy soil, no stones). Longer distances usually require multiple passes or more powerful systems.
What is the delivery time?
