ZERO TAIL SWING
Especially on urban construction sites with limited space, operators can work safely with regard to the surrounding area, as the ViO27-6 is a true zero-tail-swing mini excavator. The front of the machine does not extend beyond the track width, so the upper frame has a very small swing radius. Thanks to excellent all-around visibility with minimal blind spots, you can work efficiently, especially along walls.
UNCOMPROMISING PERFORMANCE
The ViO27-6 offers exceptional performance figures for a machine in its class. The digging depth of 2,940 mm (with extended arm) and the digging force of 23.1 kN (bucket) and 14.4 kN (arm) enable fast and efficient work even under the most demanding conditions. With its 1,500 mm-wide undercarriage and excellent weight distribution, this hydraulic excavator can definitely compete with—or even surpass—other machines in the same weight class in terms of stability. An optional counterweight further enhances stability. The excavator also impresses with its high lifting capacity.
ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROL
With an output of 15.8 kW at 2,500 rpm, the advanced Yanmar engine is the result of Yanmar’s ongoing efforts to reduce fuel consumption and emissions. The improved fuel injection system further reduces emissions and ensures quieter operation. The automatic idle reset switches the engine to idle when the control levers are not operated for four seconds. The engine accelerates again the next time a lever is operated.
SMOOTH AND SIMULTANEOUS MOVEMENT
The ViO27-6 mini excavator is equipped with a ViPPS hydraulic system. This configuration includes a dual variable-displacement pump and two gear pumps. These three main pumps ensure a maximum oil flow of 81.3 l/min for all necessary machine movements. The oil flow from these pumps, controlled by control valves, ensures an optimal combination of speed, power, smooth operation, and weight distribution. The ViPPS system enables the smooth and simultaneous execution of all functions, even while traveling, thereby increasing productivity.
EASY TO OPERATE
All control levers on the ViO27-6 are ergonomically arranged and enable particularly precise movements. Standard equipment on the ViO27-6 includes an additional hydraulic circuit with proportional control, operated via the joystick. This allows the volume and direction of the oil flow to be adjusted. In addition, the hydraulic circuit features an optional, easy-to-use potentiometer that adjusts the oil flow to the requirements of each attachment.
ENHANCED COMFORT
The operator’s cab comes standard with a comfortable, ergonomic, and suspension-mounted seat featuring adjustable controls, a high backrest, and a seatbelt with an automatic retractor. Legroom is further enhanced by the flat floor. The easily accessible control levers respond smoothly and precisely, and operation is possible via joystick or foot pedal. The ergonomic design and excellent visibility ensure fatigue-free and safe operation. In particular, the cab’s shape provides optimal 360-degree visibility, which improves safety and efficiency during operation.
YANMAR FULL PROTECT
The ViO27-6 mini excavator benefits from the unique Yanmar Full Protect system. This provides complete protection for the boom and arm cylinders, with all cylinder tubes and rods shielded by a steel plate. The result is significantly lower total cost of ownership for the machine. The ViO27-6’s operator cab is certified to ROPS (Rollover Protection) and FOPS (Falling Object Protection) Level 1 standards.
