Features
COMPACTNESS
The ViO50-6 mini excavator is a true zero-tail-swing machine, as neither the counterweight nor the front of the upper frame extends beyond the track width. This means the excavator has an extremely small swing radius; the blind spot at the rear has also been reduced to a minimum. These features improve safety for both the operator and people in the vicinity. Thanks to the undercarriage’s low center of gravity, the machine is only 2,540 mm high, which makes transport easier. Ground clearance has also been increased to 345 mm.
CLEAN ENGINE
The advanced 28.3-kW TNV engine is equipped with direct injection and achieves clean combustion. A common-rail system also ensures finely tuned electronic control of fuel injection. Thanks to cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), which drastically reduces nitrogen oxide emissions, the Yanmar engine meets EU Stage V emission requirements. In addition, the diesel particulate filter (DPF) helps reduce exhaust emissions. In addition, an exclusive regeneration system was developed to reduce downtime caused by filter clogging and cleaning procedures.
ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROL
The fully electronic control system delivers intelligent performance and maneuverability, with the drive motors shifting automatically based on power demand. This ensures the operator always receives an optimal speed-to-power ratio, making operation easier. Eco mode also reduces the engine speed by 300 rpm, further lowering fuel consumption. If the control levers are not operated for four seconds, the engine switches to idle—this reduces fuel consumption, noise levels, and emissions.
SMOOTH AND SIMULTANEOUS MOVEMENT
The ViO50-6B compact excavator is equipped with a ViPPS hydraulic system. This configuration includes a dual variable-displacement pump and two gear pumps. These three main pumps ensure a maximum oil flow of 132.8 l/min for all necessary machine movements. The oil flow from these pumps, controlled by control valves, ensures an optimal combination of speed, power, smooth operation, and weight distribution. The ViPPS system enables all functions to be performed smoothly and simultaneously, even while traveling.
EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE
The ergonomic operator’s cab is luxurious and spacious, with a large door and ample legroom. Additional features, such as an adjustable wrist rest and an air-suspension seat, help reduce operator fatigue. Three rearview mirrors also provide excellent all-around visibility, thereby enhancing safety. Fold-down pedals offer the operator additional space and comfort. The control levers are easily accessible and respond with finesse and precision.
DURABLE
Improvements to all undercarriage components have further increased service life and reduced total cost of ownership. In particular, the undercarriage’s X-shaped box-section construction provides excellent torsional rigidity, while the frame is designed for maximum durability. The box-section design of the boom also improves its durability and service life, and the base of the boom and the kingpost have been reinforced. All cylinder tubes and rods in the boom are protected by a steel plate, which significantly improves durability.
EASY TO MAINTAIN
The ViO50-6B mini excavator is equipped with a digital control interface that provides real-time information on the machine’s status and facilitates maintenance planning (though the machine has extremely long maintenance intervals). Daily maintenance has also been simplified. Both the engine hood and the right-side panel open smoothly. This allows access to all key maintenance points, such as the air filter, radiator, battery, fuel tank, and various other components. In addition, a flat floor mat makes cleaning easier.
