The ViO57-6B’s advanced engine meets all EU emissions requirements. The electronic engine control system ensures true precision performance and low fuel consumption. A ViPPS hydraulic system allows all functions to be performed simultaneously. Drive motors with a 2-speed automatic transmission further enhance precision and productivity. The zero-tail-swing machine is equipped with an improved undercarriage. The result: exceptionally high stability, durability, and safety, as well as enhanced operator comfort. COMPACTNESS
The ViO57-6B mini excavator is a true zero-tail-swing machine with a very small swing radius, as neither the counterweight nor the front of the upper frame extends beyond the track width. The blind spot at the rear has also been reduced to a minimum. All of this results in greater safety for both the operator and people in the vicinity. This makes the machine ideal for working on urban construction sites with limited space and along walls.
CLEAN ENGINE
The advanced 28.3-kW TNV engine is equipped with direct injection, ensuring clean combustion. Thanks to cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), which drastically reduces nitrogen oxide emissions, the Yanmar engine meets EU Stage V emission requirements. In addition, a diesel particulate filter (DPF) helps reduce exhaust emissions. Another environmentally friendly feature is the common-rail system, which enables finely tuned electronic control. An exclusive regeneration system helps reduce downtime caused by filter clogging and cleaning procedures.
ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROL
The fully electronic control system delivers intelligent performance and maneuverability—the drive motors shift automatically depending on power demand. This ensures the operator always receives an optimal speed-to-power ratio, making operation easier. Eco mode also reduces the engine speed by 300 rpm, further lowering fuel consumption. If the control levers are not operated for 4 seconds, the engine switches to idle—this lowers noise levels and emissions.
SMOOTH AND SIMULTANEOUS MOVEMENT
The ViO57-6B mini excavator is equipped with a ViPPS hydraulic system that enables smooth and simultaneous operation of all functions—even while moving. It includes a dual variable-displacement pump and two gear pumps. These three main pumps ensure a maximum oil flow of 139.4 l/min for all necessary machine movements. The oil flow from the pumps, controlled by control valves, ensures an optimal balance of speed, power, smooth operation, and weight distribution.
EASY TO OPERATE
Drive motors with a 2-speed automatic transmission ensure power is delivered as needed. The operator always receives an optimal speed-to-power ratio, which makes operation easier. The ViO57-6B mini excavator comes standard with an additional hydraulic circuit featuring proportional control, operated via the joystick. An optional, easy-to-use potentiometer adjusts the oil flow to the requirements of each attachment. In addition, a drive motor delivers 10 percent more torque, thereby improving cycle times and productivity, especially during grading work.
INCREASED COMFORT
The spacious operator cab offers a high level of comfort, including a large door and ample legroom. Fold-down pedals provide additional space and comfort for the operator. Other features include an adjustable wrist rest and an air-suspension seat. Noise levels in the ergonomic operator cab have also been reduced—enabling fatigue-free operation. Three rearview mirrors provide excellent all-around visibility.
IMPROVED STABILITY
The X-shaped box-section undercarriage design provides excellent torsional rigidity, while the frame is engineered for maximum durability. All undercarriage components have been improved to increase the machine’s durability and longevity and reduce total cost of ownership. Improvements include a 25 percent larger idler wheel, enlarged rollers with a 14 percent increase in diameter and a 13 percent increase in width, and sprockets that are 29 percent wider. The new undercarriage and optimized weight distribution contribute to improving the overall stability of the ViO57-6B.
EASY TO MAINTAIN
The ViO57-6B mini excavator stands out for its long maintenance intervals. A digital user interface provides the operator with real-time information on the machine’s status and scheduled maintenance tasks. Daily maintenance is simplified by the easy-to-open engine hood and the right-side cover. This provides access to all key maintenance points, such as the air filter, radiator, battery, fuel tank, and other components. A smooth floor mat also makes cleaning easier.
