Buy new and used Messersi crawler dumpers and mini-excavators – a wide selection direct from specialist dealers. We mainly stock Messersi dumpers: crawler dumpers from the TC series, such as the TC150d, available as classic tippers, with self-loading buckets or with swivel bodies. Depending on availability, mini-excavators and compact loaders from the brand are also included. Each listing specifies the year of manufacture, operating hours, payload and specifications. The machines are currently supplied by Bontebok Trading from the Netherlands; stock is constantly changing. This page features construction machinery from Messersì S.p.A. in Casine di Ostra – not the packaging and strapping machines from its namesake, Messersì Packaging.
Messersì at a glance
Messersì was founded in 1957 in Senigallia, in the Italian province of Ancona, by brothers Italo and Fabio Messersì, initially as a mechanical workshop. In the 1970s, it became a public limited company with its own new factory, and production of wheeled dumpers began. In the 1990s, Messersì claimed to be the first company in Europe to develop and build dumpers with hydrostatic drive. Around the same time, mini-excavators were added to the range. The company has been ISO 9001-certified since 1999.
Its headquarters and factory are now located in Casine di Ostra near Ancona, covering an area of around 70,000 square metres, of which over 30,000 are under cover. In the 2000s, Messersì employed up to 160 people. In 2022, the investor group WindeX Investment Club acquired Messersì S.p.A. In the 2020s, the ‘Zero Emission’ electric range and the large tracked dumpers TC350d and TC550d were added to the range. Messersì sources its engines externally; for the diesel models, these are predominantly from Kubota, whilst the TC550d is powered by a Perkins engine.

What the Messersi model designation reveals
For the tracked dumpers, the system is simple: TC plus payload in ten-kilogram increments – with a few exceptions. A TC50 carries 500 kg, a TC150d 1,500 kg, a TC350d 3,500 kg; only the largest model, the TC550d, has a payload of 5,000 kg. The suffix ‘d’ stands for a diesel engine, whilst ‘-e’ stands for an electric drive. Models without a suffix, such as the TC50, TC80 or TC100, are powered by a petrol engine from Honda or Briggs & Stratton. Some older dumpers bear the designation ‘TCH’ followed by a four-digit number, for example TCH 2300. For excavators, the letter ‘M’ precedes a number that roughly indicates the weight: The M28U weighs between 2.85 and 3.0 tonnes, whilst the M60U weighs 5.75 tonnes. As well as the classic tipping body, there are dumpers with self-loading buckets, such as the TC95d. Our fleet also includes Messersi dumpers with rotating bodies.
| Model | Specifications | Typical application |
|---|---|---|
| TC50 / TC50d | 500 kg payload, approx. 0.5 t kerb weight, petrol (Honda) or diesel (Yanmar) | Gardens, courtyards, through doors and narrow passageways |
| TC85d | 850 kg payload, diesel (Yanmar) | Gardening and landscaping, renovation |
| TC95d | 950 kg payload, self-loading bucket, diesel (Kubota) | Loading and removing excavated material without an excavator |
| TC120d | 1,200 kg payload, diesel (Kubota D722) | Pipeline construction, building materials on site |
| TC150d | 1,500 kg payload, 1,330 kg kerb weight, 1.08 m wide, 4.0/7.5 km/h, Kubota D902 | The most common application in our fleet: gardening, landscaping and civil engineering |
| TC230d | 2,300 kg payload, Kubota V1505 | Civil engineering, off-road pipework installation |
| TC350d | 3,500 kg payload, approx. 4 t kerb weight, Kubota V2403 | Earthworks, pipeline and route construction |
| TC550d | 5,000 kg payload, 7.5 t unladen weight, Perkins | Heavy-duty off-road material transport |
| M28U / M60U | 2.85–3.0 t and 5.75 t respectively, Kubota diesel | Mini and midi excavators for civil engineering |
What we look out for in a used Messersi
Undercarriage: Tracked dumpers often travel loaded over uneven terrain. Check the rubber tracks for cracks and exposed steel cables, as well as the track rollers, idler wheel, drive wheel and track tension.
Bucket and tipping mechanism: Inspect the bucket for deformation and welds; check the tipping cylinder and bearings for play and leaks. For swivel buckets, examine the swivel ring closely; for self-loaders, examine the bucket, arms and pins closely.
Hydrostatic drive: Test for smooth acceleration, steady straight-line travel and both drive speeds. Check the oil level and for leaks at the pump and drive motors; pulling to one side indicates wear.
Engine and documentation: Messersì fits widely used industrial engines from Kubota, Yanmar, Honda or Perkins; the engine type and serial number will help when sourcing parts. Check the operating hours against the service log and ensure you are provided with the CE Declaration of Conformity and the UVV inspection certificate.

Frequently asked questions about Messersi
Where does Messersi come from?
Messersì originates from Italy. The company was founded in Senigallia in 1957 and now manufactures in Casine di Ostra in the province of Ancona. Since 2022, it has been owned by the WindeX Investment Club.
What does the number on a Messersi dumper mean?
It usually indicates the payload in increments of ten kilograms: TC85d = 850 kg, TC150d = 1,500 kg, TC350d = 3,500 kg. The letter ‘d’ stands for diesel, ‘e’ for electric; models without a suffix have a petrol engine.
How wide is a Messersi TC150d?
According to the manufacturer, the TC150d is 1,080 mm wide, weighs around 1.3 t when empty and has a payload of 1,500 kg. It has two speed settings of 4.0 and 7.5 km/h, powered by a Kubota D902 diesel engine.
What is a self-loading dumper?
It has its own loading bucket and can pick up, transport and tip earth, gravel or rubble without the need for an excavator. On small building sites, this saves the need for a second machine and an operator.
Is Messersi connected to Messersì Packaging?
No, they are now separate companies. Messersì Packaging, based in Barbara near Ancona, manufactures strapping and packaging machines. The construction machinery is produced by Messersì S.p.A. in Casine di Ostra.
Does Messersi also manufacture excavators?
Yes. As well as dumpers, Messersì manufactures mini-excavators ranging from the M13K (weighing around 1.4 t) to the M60U (weighing 5.75 t), as well as compact and track loaders (SL35, SL45, CTL45) and mini-loaders.
Are there any Messersì dumpers with electric drives?
Yes. The zero-emission range includes, amongst others, the TC50-e and TC120-e crawler dumpers with payloads of 500 kg and 1,200 kg respectively.
Can I lease a Messersi dumper or finance it via hire purchase?
For many listings – both new and used – you can submit a no-obligation leasing or hire-purchase enquiry directly. You can discuss the terms with the dealer or their finance partner; the purchase and payment are handled directly between you and the seller.
