Pramac is based in Casole d’Elsa in the province of Siena (Tuscany). The company’s history began in 1966, when the Campinoti family founded a business specialising in construction equipment. Today, according to the company, Pramac is represented in more than 150 countries, with 16 branches and 7 factories in Europe, Asia and South America, as well as around 1,100 employees, of whom about ten per cent are engineers. What the Pramac model designation reveals
The naming convention for the GB-GS series of industrial generators is straightforward: GBW and GSW denote the series; the number roughly indicates the power class in kVA – a GBW10 or GSW10 delivers around 9 kVA of continuous power (PRP) – and the suffix usually indicates the engine manufacturer: P for Perkins, Y for Yanmar. A GSW10Y is therefore a generator from the GSW series with a Yanmar engine. For portable units, the letter denotes the series (E, ES, S, PX, P), whilst the number roughly indicates the power class. In warehouse equipment, GS models are hand pallet trucks; in our adverts, HX stands for scissor lift trucks, QX and EY for electric pallet trucks, and GX, TX and NX for high-lift trucks. Engine and operating hours for power units: The operating hours of the diesel engine and the maintenance records are crucial. As Pramac fits engines from various manufacturers, the advert should specify the engine type – this makes sourcing spare parts and servicing easier.
