Lighting masts are mobile construction lighting systems designed for temporary lighting on building sites, at events and in emergency response situations. They combine a generator, an extendable mast and a floodlight into a single portable unit.
Variants include diesel-powered light towers with their own generator, battery- or mains-powered models, solar light towers, and energy-saving LED versions with a long service life.
Common manufacturers include Atlas Copco, Generac Mobile, Trime, Wacker Neuson, Pramac, Doosan, Allmand and SDMO.
Lighting towers are used on night-time construction sites, at events and sporting events, in disaster relief, and during operations by the fire service, THW and the police.
