View on GoogleBuy new and used Seifert attachments – a wide selection of trench-clearing buckets, cable buckets, hydraulic hammers, pulverisers and scrap shears directly from specialist dealers. Under the Seifert brand, we offer attachments for mini-excavators and crawler excavators: rigid trench-clearing buckets ranging from 80 to 140 cm and narrow cable buckets with MS01 or MS03 Symlock mounts, a hydraulic hammer set for excavators from 2.5 to 4.5 t, as well as pulverisers and scrap shears for demolition – each listing includes the carrier machine class, mounting type and net weight. The equipment is supplied by GSK Baumaschinen in Hanhofen; the stock changes regularly. This refers to the attachment manufacturer Seifert Maschinenbau from North Hesse – not other companies of the same name.
Seifert at a glance
Behind the brand is Seifert Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG, based in Edermünde near Kassel and registered at Fritzlar Local Court; the general partner is Seifert Verwaltungs GmbH. According to register notices, the company was restructured in August 2022. Seifert describes itself as a supplier of “attachments for construction machinery” and aims to supply equipment “for all common machine types and brands, from micro-excavators to large excavators”. Sales are conducted via the company’s own online shop, a dealer locator and specialist retailers; there is also an outlet section offering second-hand goods.
In addition to its standard range of buckets – excavation, trench-clearing, cable and screening buckets, ripper teeth, root rakes and power spades – Seifert offers its own ranges for demolition, recycling and civil engineering. The manufacturer is currently highlighting new products such as grading buckets, shovel separators (SHS), pulverisers (SHP), scrap shears (SDS) and push brooms (SAB). Seifert manufactures its buckets from S355 and wear-resistant HB400 steel. Seifert supplies quick-change couplers from Martin and OilQuick; many attachments are available to fit common quick-change coupler systems such as Martin, OilQuick, Engcon, Liebherr and Steelwrist.

What the Seifert model designation reveals
Seifert designates its series with an abbreviation that always begins with S and varies depending on the type of implement: SHB for hydraulic hammers, SHP for pulverisers, SDS for scrap shears, SDG for demolition grapples and SSG for sorting grapples, SEA for earth augers, SHC for attachment compactors, SHS for bucket separators. For pulverisers, shears and grapples, the number following the abbreviation roughly corresponds to the machine’s own weight in kilograms: The SHP280 weighs 280 kg, the SHP370 370 kg, the SDS1500 around 1,520 kg and the SSG150 sorting grapple 150 kg. For rigid trench-clearing buckets, the naming convention is different; as shown in the product list: SDF.C1.100 stands for carrier class C1 (excavators 1–2 t) and a width of 100 cm; C0 applies to 0.5–1 t, C2 to 2–3 t, C3 to 3–5 t, and C4 to 5–10 t. The attachment system is also crucial for a proper fit: our buckets are specified with the Symlock attachment MS01 (smaller mini-excavators) or MS03 (approx. 2–5 t) – always check compatibility with the quick-change coupler on your own excavator.
| Model | Specifications | Typical application |
|---|---|---|
| Trench-clearing bucket 80–120 cm, MS01 | Excavators 0.5–2 t, rigid | Trench profiling, embankments, gardening and landscaping |
| Trench clearing bucket 100–140 cm, MS03 | Excavators 2–3 t, rigid | Sub-base, pits, trench maintenance |
| Cable bucket 150 mm, MS01 / MS03 | Narrow bucket, excavators up to approx. 5 t | Cable and pipe trenches, service connections |
| Hydraulic hammer set MS03 | Excavators 2.5–4.5 t, with Symlock attachment | Foundations, concrete and rock in civil engineering |
| SHP280 / SHP370 | 280 or 370 kg, excavators 2–5.5 t or 3.5–8 t | Breaking concrete, cutting rebar in interior demolition |
| SDS1500 | approx. 1,520 kg, excavators 12–18 t | Cutting steel scrap and sections |
| SDS2200 | approx. 2,150 kg, excavator 18–28 t | Demolition, scrap yard, industrial demolition |
| SSG / SDG 260–390 | 260–390 kg, excavator 3–8 t | Sorting and loading on the demolition site |
What we look for in a used Seifert attachment
Mounting and carrier class: An attachment is only as good as its fit. The mounting (Symlock MS01/MS03, Martin, OilQuick or bolt), bolt diameter and carrier weight must be suitable for the excavator – a hammer or crusher that is too heavy will overload the boom and compromise stability.
Cutting edges and wear parts: For buckets, check the cutting edge, side cutters and teeth for wear, and inspect welded seams for cracks. For crushers and shears, examine the blades and crushing teeth – they are reversible or replaceable, but represent a cost factor.
Hydraulics: For hammers, shears, grapples and earth augers, check the cylinders and hoses for leaks; match the oil level and operating pressure to the excavator’s auxiliary hydraulics; grapples may require a second circuit for rotation.
New or second-hand: With buckets, the difference between new and second-hand is usually minimal; a second-hand unit is particularly worthwhile for large demolition tools such as shears and pulverisers. Our stock currently consists mainly of new equipment with a full manufacturer’s warranty.

Frequently asked questions about Seifert attachments
Who is behind Seifert attachments?
The attachment manufacturer Seifert Maschinenbau, based in Edermünde in North Hesse. It offers buckets, hydraulic hammers, demolition and recycling tools, earth augers, compactors and quick-change couplers for excavators ranging from micro to large excavators.
What do SHP, SDS and SSG stand for at Seifert?
The abbreviations denote the type of attachment: SHP for pulverisers, SDS for scrap shears, SSG for sorting grapples, SDG for demolition grapples, SHB for hydraulic hammers. For pulverisers, shears and grabs, the number roughly corresponds to the machine’s own weight in kilograms – an SHP370 weighs 370 kg.
What do MS01 or MS03 mean in the advert?
This refers to the size of the Symlock mounting, which is used to attach the bucket to the excavator’s quick-change coupler. MS01 is designed for smaller mini-excavators, whilst MS03 is for machines weighing approximately 2 to 5 tonnes. Check the mounting on your own excavator before purchasing.
Which pulveriser is suitable for my excavator?
Seifert specifies a carrier class for each model: SHP280 for excavators from 2 to 5.5 t, SHP370 for 3.5 to 8 tonnes, SHP710 for 7 to 12 tonnes, up to the SHP3900 for 34 to 49 tonnes. In addition, the oil volume and pressure of the auxiliary hydraulics must be suitable.
What type of steel are Seifert buckets made from?
Seifert specifies S355 structural steel for its trench-clearing buckets, combined with wear-resistant HB400 steel in areas subject to particularly high stress.
Are there Seifert attachments for Martin or OilQuick quick-change couplers?
Yes. Seifert itself distributes Martin and OilQuick quick-change couplers and supplies many attachments with compatible mountings, such as the compactors for Martin, OilQuick, Engcon, Liebherr or Steelwrist.
Is it worth buying a second-hand Seifert attachment?
With buckets, the price difference compared to new ones is usually small, so there is a strong case for buying a new attachment with a warranty. With large shears and pulverisers, a second-hand attachment can be worth it if the blades, teeth and hydraulics are in good working order.
Can I lease a Seifert attachment or finance it via hire purchase?
For many listings – both new and used – you can submit a no-obligation enquiry about leasing or hire purchase directly. You can discuss the terms with the dealer or their finance partner; the purchase and payment are handled directly between you and the seller.
