Buy new and used Doosan excavators, wheel loaders, construction compressors and generators – a wide selection direct from specialist dealers. Under the Doosan brand, you’ll find two distinct ranges here: crawler excavators, mobile excavators, mini-excavators and wheel loaders from the DX and DL series, as well as mobile construction compressors, generators and lighting towers from Doosan Portable Power. Every listing includes the year of manufacture, operating hours and technical specifications, supplied by Kraus Baumaschinen, GSK Baumaschinen and Bontebok Trading; stock is constantly changing.
Doosan at a glance – and why new machines are now called Develon and Bobcat
Doosan construction machinery traces its origins back to Daewoo Heavy Industries, founded in 1976. In 2005, the South Korean Doosan Group took over the machinery division and renamed it Doosan Infracore – older excavators from the Daewoo Solar and DH series are therefore still marketed second-hand under the Daewoo name. In November 2007, Doosan purchased, amongst other things, Bobcat and the division for mobile compressors, generators and lighting towers from Ingersoll Rand for 4.9 billion US dollars; this became Doosan Portable Power, and by early 2012 the equipment had been rebranded from Ingersoll Rand to Doosan.
Since then, the brand structure has changed twice: in 2021, Doosan sold its construction machinery division to the HD Hyundai Group, and since 17 January 2023, new excavators and wheel loaders have been branded DEVELON – the model names DX and DL have remained the same. Also in 2023, Doosan Bobcat rebranded its compressors, generators and lighting masts under the Bobcat brand (“Portable Power by Bobcat”). Consequently, machines traded on the second-hand market under the “Doosan” name are primarily those manufactured up to around 2023. These should not be confused with Doosan machine tools, which have been known as DN Solutions since 2022.

What the Doosan model designation reveals
For excavators, the number following ‘DX’ roughly indicates the weight class – a DX225LC weighs around 22 to 23 tonnes, a DX300LC around 30 tonnes. The suffixes describe the model type: LC = crawler excavator with long undercarriage, W = wheeled excavator, R = short tail (Reduced Tail Swing), Z = zero tail swing; the number after the hyphen (-3, -5, -7) indicates the model series. Wheel loaders are designated DL. For Doosan Portable Power compressors, the first figure indicates the nominal pressure in bar, whilst the second corresponds to the flow rate in tenths of a m³/min: a 7/41 delivers around 4 m³/min at 7 bar, a 7/120 around 12 m³/min, and a 12/235 around 23.5 m³/min at 12 bar. The generators are named according to their power output: a G40 has around 40 kVA.
| Model | Data | Typical application |
|---|---|---|
| DX140LC / DX140LCR | 14.1–15.5 t, LCR with short rear end | Sewer construction, road construction, urban areas |
| DX160W | 15–17 t, mobile excavator | Municipal works, road construction, material handling |
| DX225LC / DX235LCR | 22–25 t | Doosan’s best-selling class: earthworks, civil engineering |
| DX300LC / DX340LC | 30–34 t | Mass excavation, demolition, quarrying |
| DL200 to DL300 | 11.8–18.8 t | Recycling, bulk materials, gravel pit |
| 7/41 / 7/53 | 4–5 m³/min, 7 bar, 590–705 kg | one to two hammers, under 750 kg |
| 7/71 | 7.1 m³/min, 8.6 bar | multiple consumers, blasting work |
| 7/120 / 10/105 | 12 / 10.3 m³/min, 7 / 12 bar | Sandblasting, shotcrete, blowing |
| G40 | 40 kVA | Site power for containers and tools |
What we look for in a used Doosan
Excavator – undercarriage, pins, hydraulics: track links, idler rollers and sprockets; play in bucket, stick and boom pins; slewing ring; hydraulic pumps and cylinders for leaks. Check the operating hours against the maintenance record.
Engine and emission standard: cold start, smoke emissions, blow-by. Newer Stage V machines have particulate filters and SCR systems (AdBlue); older emission standards are cheaper but are not permitted on every construction site.
Compressors and generators: For the compressor, check the oil condition, the separator and whether the rated pressure is maintained; for the generator, carry out a load test, check voltage and frequency under load, and inspect the insulation monitor. Spare parts for Doosan Portable Power units are now supplied through the Bobcat network.
Documentation: CE conformity, operating instructions, maintenance log; for compressors and generators mounted on trailers, the operating licence for the chassis; for power units, the DGUV V3 inspection certificate.
Doosan with us: Dealers and stock
Kraus Baumaschinen in Frankenthal stocks Doosan compressors, generators and excavators, GSK Baumaschinen in Hanhofen stocks Doosan compressors and generators, whilst Bontebok Trading in the Netherlands supplies used Doosan excavators and power units. You can find newer machines from the same range under Develon (excavators, wheel loaders) and Bobcat; comparable compressors can be found under Atlas Copco, Kaeser and Ingersoll Rand.
Frequently asked questions about Doosan
Why are Doosan excavators now called Develon?
Doosan sold its construction machinery division to the HD Hyundai Group in 2021. Since 17 January 2023, new excavators and wheel loaders have been sold under the DEVELON brand; the model names, such as DX225LC or DL250, have remained the same. Spare parts and servicing are handled through the Develon dealer network.
Are Doosan compressors still available new?
The portable compressors, generators and light towers from Doosan Portable Power have been sold under the Bobcat brand since 2023 – for example, the 7/20 became the PA7.2 and the G20 became the PG20. Second-hand equipment continues to be marketed under the Doosan brand.
What does 7/41 mean for Doosan compressors?
The first number is the nominal pressure in bar; the second corresponds to the air flow rate in tenths of a m³/min. A 7/41 therefore delivers around 4 m³/min at 7 bar – enough for one or two demolition hammers – and weighs less than 750 kg.
Are Doosan and Ingersoll Rand the same compressors?
Doosan took over the mobile compressor division from Ingersoll Rand in 2007 and rebranded the units under its own name by 2012. Many Doosan compressors are, technically speaking, direct successors to the Ingersoll Rand model ranges.
Which Doosan excavator is the most commonly traded on the second-hand market?
On the major second-hand marketplaces, the DX225LC and DX300LC crawler excavators lead the way, followed by the DX140LC/LCR and DX340LC. Among compact excavators, the DX55 is common, whilst among compressors, the 7/41 and the 7/31E are the most common.
What do LC, LCR, W and Z mean in Doosan excavators?
LC stands for crawler excavators with a long undercarriage, R for reduced tail swing, Z for zero tail swing and W for wheeled excavators. A DX140LCR is therefore a 14-t tracked excavator with a short tail, designed for confined construction sites.
Can I get spare parts for older Doosan or Daewoo excavators?
Yes. Excavators and wheel loaders are supplied via the Develon network, whilst compressors and generators are supplied via Bobcat Portable Power. For very old Daewoo Solar excavators, it’s worth checking with the dealer regarding the availability and price of key parts before purchasing.
Can I lease a Doosan machine or finance it via hire purchase?
For many listings, you can submit a non-binding leasing or hire-purchase enquiry directly. You can discuss the terms with the dealer or their finance partner; the purchase and payment are handled directly between you and the seller.
