Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Answers to the most frequently asked questions about machinery-market.eu — the European B2B marketplace for new and used machinery.
What is machinery-market.eu?
machinery-market.eu is a European online marketplace for new and used machinery. We connect commercial buyers and sellers directly. Sellers post listings, buyers send inquiries—the contract is concluded directly between the parties. We act solely as an intermediary.
Is buying through machinery-market.eu safe?
The purchase agreement, payment, and delivery are handled directly between the buyer and seller. We verify the commercial status of each seller during registration (specifically company details, legal notice, and VAT ID). For initial contact and larger transactions, we recommend using an escrow service.
How does buying a machine work?
Once you find the right machine, click “Send Inquiry” or contact the seller directly using the contact information provided in the listing. The seller will get in touch with you. Price negotiation, contract conclusion, payment, and delivery take place directly between you and the seller—we are solely intermediaries.
Does it cost anything for buyers to use the service?
No. machinery-market.eu is free for buyers. There are no inquiry fees or commissions for you as a buyer.
Who is eligible to buy on machinery-market.eu?
The platform is intended exclusively for business owners as defined in § 14 of the German Civil Code (BGB), government agencies, and religious and social institutions. Consumers as defined in § 13 of the German Civil Code (BGB) are not eligible.
How can I sell a machine?
Click on “Sell Machinery Now” in the header or “Become a Seller” in the footer, fill out the registration form, and accept the Terms and Conditions for Sellers. After verification, we will activate your account and you can post listings.
What does it cost for sellers to post listings?
You can find the current rates, service packages, and terms in the seller area of the platform. The exact models (base fee, flat rate per listing, success commission, or combinations) are clearly displayed before the contract is concluded.
What happens if a machine has already been sold?
According to our Terms and Conditions, sellers are obligated to deactivate or delete sold machines immediately. If you discover a listing for a machine that has already been sold, please report it to us using the “Report Listing” feature.
How do I contact support?
For technical questions about the platform, please email us at info@machinery-market.eu. For questions about a specific machine, please contact the respective seller directly.
Are the sellers verified?
Yes. During registration, we verify each seller for commercial activity, a complete legal notice, and business information. Violations result in the suspension of the seller’s account.
Can I buy machines from abroad?
Yes. Many sellers ship throughout Europe. Please clarify shipping, customs, import sales tax, and any licensing requirements directly with the seller in a timely manner.
What machine categories are available?
Construction machinery (excavators, wheel loaders, dump trucks, rollers, forklifts, aerial work platforms, drilling rigs, cleaning equipment), agricultural and forestry machinery (tractors, combine harvesters, balers, wood splitters), food and packaging equipment (labeling machines, filling systems, ovens, CIP systems), machine tools and CNC (lathes, milling machines, machining centers, laser cutting systems), commercial vehicles and transport (trucks, semi-trailers, dump trucks, swap bodies).
What payment methods are recommended?
Since we are not a party to the contract, you should agree on the payment terms directly with the seller. We recommend secure methods such as bank transfer upon order confirmation, escrow services for new transactions, or a down payment with the balance due upon delivery. Advance payment without verifiable business information from the seller should be avoided.
What applies in the event of defects or complaints?
Warranties and guarantees are the responsibility of the respective seller. Since the platform is intended exclusively for commercial transactions, the duty to inspect and give notice of defects pursuant to § 377 HGB applies in particular to purchases between merchants. Please direct any notices of defects directly to the seller.
How can I contact a seller?
On each product page, you will find up to three direct contact buttons to the right of the seller information:
- WhatsApp Request (green) — Opens WhatsApp with a pre-formulated message including a product link. You can edit the message before sending it.
- Telegram Inquiry (blue) — Opens a Telegram chat with the seller.
- Message to Seller (purple) — Platform-internal message. This requires you to be logged into your buyer account.
Which contact method is the right one?
Recommendation: If you want to ask a quick and simple question about the product, use WhatsApp or Telegram (provided the seller has enabled these channels). For more formal inquiries or for documentation within the platform system, the platform-internal message is suitable.
Privacy Notice: When you click on WhatsApp or Telegram, you leave our platform and data is transferred to the respective third-party provider (Meta Platforms or Telegram). You can find details on this in our Privacy Policy.
