Buy new and used dumpers – JCB, Wacker Neuson, Thwaites, Ausa, Hinowa, Messersi, Canycom, Bergmann – directly from specialist dealers. The dumper (tipper) transports excavated material, gravel and concrete to places where lorries cannot go: across the building site, through the garden, into the trench. We stock wheeled dumpers from 1 to 10 t, tracked dumpers and mini-dumpers from 0.3 to 1.5 t, as well as articulated dumpers from Kraus Baumaschinen, GSK Baumaschinen, Bontebok and OCCAMAT – with payload, year of manufacture, operating hours and engine power listed in the advert.
Which dumper is right for your construction site?
Mini track dumpers, 300 to 800 kg: Belle BMD 300, Canycom S100/S160, Hinowa HS 701/850, Messersi TC 150. Walk-behind models, 70–80 cm wide, fit through a garden gate – for landscaping, interior demolition and cemeteries. With self-loading bucket for one-man operation.
Track dumpers, 1.2 to 2.5 t: Wacker Neuson DT 15/DT 25, Yanmar C12R, Kubota KC 250, Messersi TCH. Driver’s seat or standing position, swivel tipper optional – for soft ground, gradients, sloping terrain, sewer construction.
Wheel dumpers 1 to 3 t – the standard class: JCB 1T-1/3T-1/3STH, Thwaites Mach, Ausa D 150–D 300, Wacker Neuson 1001–3001, Terex TA3. Four-wheel drive, forward-tipping or swivel tipper (‘STH’), high-tip (Hi-Tip) for loading containers. The dumper for civil engineering, structural works, landscaping and hire.
Wheeled dumpers 6 to 10 t: Neuson/Wacker Neuson 6001/9001, Bergmann C807/C912, Thwaites 6–9 t, Terex TA6/TA9, Ausa D 600. For earthworks, road construction, quarrying and long-distance haulage; Bergmann with articulated steering and road approval.
Articulated dump trucks 25 to 40 t: Cat 725/730, Volvo A25–A40, Bell B25–B40 – large construction sites, opencast mining, landfill sites.
What we look out for in a used dumper
Body and tipping cylinder: Cracks and deformations on the body and swing frame; play in the swivel ring of the swivel body; leak-free tipping cylinders; condition of the tipping hydraulics – the body must not sag when loaded.
Articulation joint, axles, brakes: play in the articulation joint (steer whilst the engine is running), oil leaks from the axles, brakes (often oil-bathed multi-disc brakes), parking brake. For tracked dumpers: rubber tracks, track rollers, track tension.
Engine and hydrostatic drive: cold start, smoke pattern, oil leaks, smooth drive without jerking, emissions standard (Stage V for new machines). Dumpers in the hire sector often clock up many hours with little maintenance – ask to see the records.
Safety and documentation: Roll-over protection (ROPS) and seatbelt, reversing alarm, lighting; CE marking, declaration of conformity, annual inspection by a qualified person, roadworthiness certificate for on-road use.

Brands and dealers
JCB, Wacker Neuson and Thwaites lead the way in wheel dumpers; Bergmann is the German brand for heavy articulated dumpers; Ausa comes from Spain; whilst Canycom, Hinowa, Messersi and Belle dominate the mini-dumper market. Our dealers: Kraus Baumaschinen from Frankenthal (JCB, Hinowa, Belle, Yanmar – new and used), GSK Baumaschinen from Hanhofen (JCB 3STH, Neuson, Bergmann, Canycom, Hinowa – used), Bontebok Trading from Friesland (Thwaites, Ausa, Messersi, Terex at fixed prices) and OCCAMAT from France (articulated tippers). Filter by manufacturer, weight, engine power, year of manufacture and operating hours.
Frequently asked questions about used dumpers
How much does a used dumper cost?
Mini dumpers and older 1-tonne wheeled dumpers start in the mid four-figure range; 3-tonne dumpers with a swivel tipper body and few operating hours are in the five-figure range, whilst 6- to 9-tonne dumpers are above that. Factors affecting the price include payload, year of manufacture, operating hours, swivel tipper/high-tipper and emission standard.
Forward tipper, swivel tipper or high-tipping tipper?
Forward-tipping tippers are simple and robust. The swivel tipper (180°) tips sideways into a trench or alongside the track – almost essential in sewer and pipeline construction. The high-tip tipper lifts the body to load containers and lorries.
Wheeled dumper or tracked dumper?
Wheels are suitable for compacted and dry surfaces, long distances and higher speeds. Tracks are suitable for soft, wet ground, gradients, sloping terrain and to protect the ground – though they are slower and require a more expensive undercarriage.
How many operating hours are still acceptable for a dumper?
Wheeled dumpers last between 6,000 and 8,000 hours with good maintenance. A dumper with fewer than 2,000 hours is considered new. More important than the hour meter: the articulated joint, tipping hydraulics, axles and a clean cold start.
Is a dumper allowed to be driven on the road?
Only if it has an operating licence, lights and road registration; most construction site dumpers are strictly off-road vehicles. Bergmann and some larger wheeled dumpers are available with road registration – check the advert.
Can I lease a dumper or finance it via hire purchase?
For many listings, you can submit a non-binding leasing or hire-purchase enquiry directly. You can clarify the terms with the dealer or their finance partner; the purchase and payment are handled directly between you and the seller.
