Description

The Bagela BTT 300.10V is a cable drum trolley designed for the transport and laying of high- and medium-voltage cables. The machine loads power cable drums automatically, transports them and unwinds the cable on site using a built-in rotary drive. Areas of application include grid expansion by energy suppliers, underground cable installation, underground cable routes and the connection of wind and solar farms. The rigid drawbar trailer features a hydraulically adjustable width with four settings and is powered by a petrol engine, with the hydraulic system controlled via a cable-operated remote control.

The trailer offers a payload of approx. 14,300 kg at 80 km/h or approx. 29,900 kg at 10 km/h. The maximum drum diameter is 5,000 mm; drums measuring between 3,400 and 5,000 mm are loaded directly, whilst smaller drums from 2,000 mm upwards are loaded using additional pockets. The vehicle width ranges from 2,550 mm to 4,060 mm, and the clear loading width from 1,690 mm to 3,200 mm. The chassis rests on 3 axles with 6 individually suspended axle arms and is fitted with air brakes, an EBS system and air suspension. The scope of supply includes four steel cable drum axles with different load capacities.

Notes

The frame is constructed in an open-at-the-rear U-shape. You reverse the trolley directly up to the cable drum. Cable drums with diameters ranging from 3,400 mm to 5,000 mm can thus be loaded directly. Two rows of hydraulically operated lifting pockets grip the drum and lift it.

For smaller reels with a diameter of 2,000 mm or more, additional pockets are included in the scope of delivery.

The cable drum rotation drive consists of two units, each with two rubber drive rollers. This eliminates the need for conversion work when you widen the trolley.

A suitable cable drum axle is included for every width. A total of 4 steel axles are included in the scope of delivery: one with a load capacity of 10 t for 2,550 mm and one each with a load capacity of 30 t for 3,000, 3,500 and 4,060 mm. They are carried on the trailer in transport brackets.

The BTT 300.10V is a rigid drawbar trailer with 3 axles. These consist of 6 individually suspended axle beams with axle compensation. Braking is provided by a compressed-air brake with an EBS system and a spring-storage brake system, supplemented by ALB and ABV. The trailer has TÜV approval, an electronic load indicator, and underrun and side-impact protection.

The rear axle is a load-shifting axle. Its air spring pressure is controlled electronically according to the load. The coupling height can be adjusted from 800 to 1,175 mm. The trailer is fitted with 6 × 315/80 R 22.5 tyres.

The maximum permitted speed is 80 km/h. With a payload exceeding 14.3 t, the speed is limited to 10 km/h.

Please note: If you are driving on public roads and the trailer is wider than 2,550 mm or the drum weighs more than 14,300 kg, you will need a special permit. Please pay particular attention to the regulations for rigid drawbar trailers.

At 80 km/h, the payload is approx. 14,300 kg; at 10 km/h, approx. 29,900 kg. From a payload of 14.3 t, the speed is limited to 10 km/h.

Do I need a special permit to use the road?

Not if the width is 2,550 mm and the drum weighs up to 14,300 kg. If you are driving on public roads with wider trailers or heavier drums, a special permit is required.

Can the trolley also pay out the cable?

Yes. The continuously variable cable drum drive is built in and is controlled via the cable remote control.

What drum sizes are compatible?

Reels with diameters from 3,400 to 5,000 mm can be loaded directly. With the additional pockets supplied, smaller reels from 2,000 mm are also compatible.
