Buy dry ice blasting machines – White Lion, Deckert and Vario Blaster, new and second-hand, directly from a specialist retailer, complete with the right compressor. Dry ice blasting cleans without water, without chemicals and without leaving any residue: machinery in production, moulds, engines, façades, fire damage, wood and monuments. We stock professional-grade equipment from GSK Baumaschinen in Hanhofen – the supplier that provides dry ice blasting machines, construction compressors and accessories all from a single source, rents them out itself and uses the equipment in its own operations.
Which dry ice blasting machine is right for your job?
Compact units for workshops and servicing: White Lion WL Mini Cube and WL 1000 MiniMax. Low air consumption (from around 1.5–3 m³/min), lightweight, suitable for engine cleaning, vehicle detailing, electrical and control cabinets, and small moulds. Operates on a Kaeser M17 or workshop compressor with a drier.
Professional units for industry and restoration: White Lion WL 1500 Competition, WL 3000 Profi, WL 5000 AirMax; Deckert DCE 80. 3–7 m³/min at 6–10 bar, infinitely variable pellet flow rate, long hoses. Production cleaning, fire restoration, façades, graffiti removal, food industry.
High performance with abrasive additive: DC50 and DC280 Vario Blaster with abrasive kit, Deckert DCE 480. Dry ice plus blasting media (glass beads, garnet) for rust, paint and coatings – one machine for cleaning and stripping. Requires 5–10 m³/min: Atlas Copco XATS 138 or XAS 188-14.
Complete packages: Many of our listings combine a blasting unit and a construction compressor (White Lion WL 3000 + XATS 138, DC280 + XAS 188-14, Deckert DCE 480 + XATS 138) – perfectly matched, ready for immediate use, with a single point of contact.
Everything you need to know about equipment, prices, compressed air and hire can be found in the guide ‘Buying or hiring dry ice blasting machines: the comprehensive professional guide’; for restoration specialists: ‘Fire damage restoration with dry ice’.
What to look for in a dry ice blasting machine
The compressor is key: a blasting machine is only as good as its compressed air. Check the machine’s air requirement (m³/min) and pressure against your compressor – and ensure the air is dry and oil-free (after-cooler, water separator, filter). Damp air causes the pellets to clump together.
Dosing and pellet feed: dosing disc or screw, agitator in the hopper, hopper insulation. For second-hand equipment, check for wear on the dosing disc and seals; the unit must feed the pellet volume continuously and evenly.
Hoses, gun, nozzles: spray hose (length, kinks, internal wear), gun with deadman’s switch, nozzle set (round, flat and angle nozzles, abrasive nozzle). Nozzles are wear parts – a complete set of nozzles is a plus.
Electrical system and controls: For electrically controlled units, check the display, controller and cabling; for pneumatic units, check the valves and for leaks. Operating hours play a lesser role in blasting equipment than the maintenance and condition of the dosing unit.
Documentation and health and safety: CE marking, operating instructions, risk assessment for CO₂ (ventilation, gas detectors in enclosed spaces), hearing protection – dry ice blasting is noisy.

Frequently asked questions about dry ice blasting machines
How much does a dry ice blasting machine cost?
Compact units start in the mid four-figure range; professional-grade units are in the five-figure range, whilst high-performance units with abrasive and a compressor as a package are priced higher. Demonstration units and returned hire units are an affordable alternative to new equipment. Enquire in the advert about package prices including a compressor.
What sort of compressor do I need for dry ice blasting?
Depending on the machine, 1.5 to 10 m³/min at 6 to 10 bar – and the air must be dry and oil-free. For compact machines, a Kaeser M17 with an aftercooler is sufficient; for professional-grade machines, an Atlas Copco XATS 138 or XAS 188-14 is recommended. Insufficient air flow means insufficient blasting performance.
Where can I get dry ice pellets?
From regional gas suppliers (Linde, Air Liquide, Westfalen, Messer) and dry ice producers, usually as 3-mm pellets in insulated boxes; if you have a regular requirement, it’s worth investing in your own pelletiser. Pellets sublimate – only buy what you’ll use within one or two days.
Dry ice or abrasive?
Pure dry ice cleans gently without abrasion – ideal for machinery, moulds, electrical components, foodstuffs and monuments. With an abrasive additive (Vario Blaster, DCE 480), you can remove rust, paint and coatings. A machine with an abrasive option covers both needs.
Buy or hire?
If you only use it occasionally, rent; if you use it for around 20 to 30 days a year, buying is the better option – particularly for cleaning contractors, renovation firms and businesses with regular production cleaning requirements. We also offer many machines and compressors for rent or on a hire-purchase basis.
Can I lease a dry ice blasting machine or finance it via hire purchase?
For many listings, you can submit a no-obligation leasing or hire-purchase enquiry directly. You can discuss the terms with the dealer or their finance partner; the purchase and payment are handled directly between you and the seller.
